 Shipping Charges
The shipping charge for an order is
based on package weight, value and destination zip code. From the shopping basket, click on  to display the cost to ship via US Mail or UPS Ground. You can get a new estimate each time you add or
remove items from your basket or change the zip code. Generally, the shipping cost per item decreases as the order quantity
increases, so you save on shipping costs with larger orders. For example,
the UPS cost to ship 4, 5 or 6 shirts is usually less
than $1 over the cost to ship 3 shirts.

 Shipping Methods
During Checkout, you can choose either 'US MAIL' or 'UPS GROUND'. We highly recommend choosing
the lowest cost method unless you have special requirements. Occasionally, as when
an order is fulfilled in two separate shipments or when a ship-to address
does not appear to be valid for a particular carrier, we may ship by a method
different than what you chose, but you will never be charged more than the original
shipping method you selected. Where possible, it is best to provide a Ship-to Address
that is compatible with both US Mail and UPS. Please note that a PO Box cannot be combined
with a street address since each has a distinct 9 digit zip code. |

US MAIL is the most economical way to send small items (ties, bars,
pocket log, IFG guide) as well as most packages up to 2 lbs (1 or 2 shirts).
Packages are sent via First Class or Priority, depending on
weight, and normally take 2 to 5 business days transit time. All our US Mail
shipments now include DELIVERY CONFIRMATION at no extra charge.
Delivery Details:
US MAIL is delivered by the Postal Service to
the place where you normally receive your mail. If your
mailbox or PO box is too small, the package may be
held for pickup at the post office... you should receive a
notification in your box, but if not, visit your post
office and ask the clerk if a package is being held for you. You must allow 15 days for delivery before a package can
be considered undelivered or lost. |

UPS Ground

UPS Ground is fully TRACKABLE and cost effective for
most packages over 2 lbs. See the map below for
transit times of 1 to 6 business days. UPS
will NOT deliver to a PO Box.
Delivery Details:
UPS will attempt to deliver your package on 3 successive business days (excl.
Sat., Sun. & holidays). The driver may try to leave your package in a safe place out of the weather.
In apartment buildings, UPS will frequently NOT leave the package at your
door, but may leave it with the apt. manager. Otherwise, if not deliverable
in the 3 days, UPS will leave a note & hold your package at the local UPS center for 5
business days before returning it to us. To prevent your package from being
returned to us, call UPS @ 1-800-833-9943 to arrange for pickup.
UPS will charge a $5 address correction fee if you do
not provide a complete and accurate ship-to address, including
name, precise street name, apt/suite #, and correct zip
code. |

 Transit Time
This
map indicates the approximate (not
guaranteed) number of BUSINESS days to ship a package from Pilot House
in upstate NY
to your area via UPS Ground service. Does NOT include Saturday, Sunday, Holidays
or the day the order was placed. (Example: a package we ship on
Monday is estimated to arrive in Ohio on Wednesday, Oklahoma on Friday, or Arizona the following
Monday).

 Rush Orders
We rush to fill every order we
receive. In-stock orders received by 3pm ET (Mon-Thur) and by noon on Fri. are usually shipped the same business day. Orders placed on a weekend or holiday usually
ship on the first business day that follows. Transit time via UPS Ground or US Mail is normally
1 to 6 days. However, delays can occasionally occur, so we do not guarantee delivery
dates. Please allow reasonable time to receive your merchandise when you place
your order. (With the cost of Next Day Air service now reaching $60, we
do not offer expedited shipping.) |
A few words about "Free Shipping"
Except for Santa Clause, there is no such thing as "free
shipping"... no one at UPS or the Postal Service works for free,
nor do they ship our packages for free. We itemize the shipping
charge apart from the merchandise price as a more accurate and
honest approach, rather than hiding the cost by adding several dollars to the price of each shirt. Our shipping charge
reflects the actual cost to transport our goods to your door, including carrier
cost, fuel surcharge, insurance and packaging, and does not include any profit. |
